It is moments like these that have me longing for a summer music festival!
There is just something about festival culture that resonates so well with the way I feel inside. Everyone is in this superb mood and showcasing the freedom of expression. The waves of sound expelled by giant speaker stacks and bouncing off different structures is music to my ears. The ideas of seeing all of the bands you want to see and then just letting go of the schedule and listening to what comes to you. I think it might just be the congregation of tens of thousands of people in one location for one purpose that does it for me. Its amazing how quickly complete strangers can become friends.
I’m jealous of those of my friends who are out at Wannee this weekend and will be up in Tennessee for the ‘Roo. I hope all of these festivals will be magical and look forward to a summer music festival when it comes for me.
